Practical Advice about Refrigerators

If you leave your home for a vacation or otherwise for an extended period of time, unplug your refrigerator. Check if the fridge works independently of the freezer. This allows you to turn off only the refrigerator or the entire apparatus (applies only to combined refrigerators).

Take the food out and dry the inside of the refrigerator.

Leave the door open to prevent mold or bad smells.

Take the same precautions in case of a long power failure or defect of the product.
